I <3 all forms of arts & crafts & trying new things, but this page will probably be mostly dedicated to crochet as that's my main creative hobby other than sketchbooking (and making this website!)
I wanted to make a notebook with a variety of different papers for testing fountain pen inks, and I'd attended a bookbinding course a few months earlier, so I decided to make one!
For the cover, I used an old magazine cover which I then covered with an old mesh T-shirt to hide the saddle stitching. The mesh makes it so fun to look at and move around, I was sad when the top became too small for me, so I was happy to repurpose it in such a cool way.
It's a bit messy, but it serves its purpose well :] I have about ten different types of paper inside.
Pattern: Dotty Dinosaurs by mojimojidesign
Yarn: Hillside milk cotton 03 (coral, pistachio, milky)
Hook size: 3mm
Time taken: ~5 hours
I made this bag for a trans pride march I went to ages ago, so I don't really remember what yarn I used or how long or took, but to make it I just made 2 stars from tutorials I found online, sewed part of it together, and then crocheted a strap with double crochets. It's cute but not the most practical due to the shape, lining it would probably fix this though.
